Breakfast, Meh (biscuits and gravy). Latte was terrible. A bakery on the square offers GREAT coffee, and if you're using the Mount Vernon card, it's the same price, and you don't have to walk up the mountain to get there.
On this visit, I had the Val's Reuben. The advertisement said "piled high with corned beef". It should have said "piled high with sauerkraut, with a little corned beef". The sandwich was tasty, but not what I expected for 8 bucks. They should have wrapped the pickle, since it made the chips soggy.
I love the atmosphere. The food was well priced and served quicky. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was very good.
This is my new favorite place in town to go for breakfast, lunch, or a good mocha frappe. The baked oatmeal and chicken bacon wraps are delicious. Their coffee is high quality and extremely fresh. Warm, friendly staff and reasonable prices. I can't wait to be one of their regulars!
The avocado toast with egg was delicious and my chai latte was amazing! Great staff, great atmosphere!
This restaurant needs to either hook up their phone for call in orders, or not show a phone number on their website, since they don't answer it. The restaurant is adorable, was crowded, and will probably succeed. They just need to get several kinks out.
The wife and I just has lunch there. I had the hamlini sandwich and she had potato soup. The price was reasonable and the food was very good. The space is bright, open, and modestly decorated. The staff was friendly and the service was fast.
