We have only been with this agency for a short period of time and already they have made a few mistakes. We had a claim for our roof which was considered catastrophic due to a widespread wind storm in our area. We were told multiple times that this claim would not count against us and would not raise our rates. Turned out it did raise our rates. Apparently, since we had a previous unrelated claim 3 years ago, this second claim, even though catastrophic, did raise our rates and did count against us as a claim. If this is standard procedure in the insurance industry, these people should have known this. We also had liability insurance added for some property that we own that is adjacent to our home. This extended premises endorsement was initially only $19.34 per year. We later had our policies reviewed and they changed the quote for this liability insurance to over $800 per year. That is quite a difference! We were with our previous agency for many years so are not people who typically change agencies. However. we may switch again even if our rates increase.
I have been with Allstate Insurance for over 20yrs. They have always been right there when I needed them and my rates never changed even when I needed to use my insurance. I had other insurance companies before Allstate and my rates where always changing. Thanks Allstate keep up the good work.
